'Centenary' was one element of 'A Hundred Years On', a heritage project celebrating the centenary of Cowshill & Lanehead Village Hall, Heatherycleugh, Weardale. For this exhibition Louise Taylor produced photographs of parish residents in their surroundings. The work was celebration of past and present Heatherycleugh, destined to preserve and provide a rich legacy for future generations. Beginning with a book launch and preview at Cowshill and Lanehead Village Hall 27th November, the exhibition then ran daily from 28th November - 5th December 2009. 'Centenary', and the accompanying book and heritage project, were developed with funding from The Heritage Lottery Fund and Durham County Council, and the generous support of Weardale and Beamish Museums, Durham County Records Office, Wearhead Primary School and Wearhead Day Club. |
