BLINDBOYS  WIDEYED

BLINDBOYS WIDEYED was an experimental collaboration between two young photography collectives: Blindboys in South Asia, and North East England based Wideyed.

BLINDBOYS WIDEYED consisted of an exhibition at 67B Westgate Road and a site specific intervention in the auditorium of The Mining Institute, which both ran from 12th - 25th March 2010 in Newcastle upon Tyne. A third intervention - billboard piece 'Where are you going Mr Mahajan?' on Forth Lane - was in place from 12th March - 10th April 2010.

The two collectives discovered each other on the online, made contact and used the internet to exchange work. But while each have a web presence - and Blindboys' site is an online magazine showcasing South Asian photography - both collectives share a commitment to print exhibitions.

"Blindboys are driven to see and show Asian photography in a new light.

And with an exhibition and two interventions, Wideyed was able to present the work of:
